A Wax brush by Annie Sloan - makes waxing your piece of furniture a dream - it is sturdy and shaped allowing you to push the wax into all the nooks and crevices. 

Annie Sloan also does a smaller brush -see photo 2 -the bottom brush, which is on a separate listing -perfectly shaped and sturdy to get wax into all the crevices. Photo 3 shows the paint brush which is available from my separate ebay listing so in photo 2 the TOP larger wax- makes waxing quicker and easier for the more experienced Chalk Painter!

They are shaped to a point so you can get wax into detailed areas and move around in tight spaces. 

The point is shaped rather than cut making these brushes the best performing and longest wax brushes I have seen!

Wish I bought this ages ago! 

This brush isn't cheap but I think it is well worth the investment. The wax goes on easily and you can really work it into the nooks and crannies. In the long run this will save you money too as I think you use less wax. The first time I tried this brush was with graphite - which is supposed to be tricky to wax evenly - but I had no problem at all and I am delighted with the finishAnnie Sloan beginner - hooked already! 

First purchase of Annie Sloan products and l love them already! I hesitated between this wax brush and the bigger one and took Kate's advice on this size as it fits more comfortably in the hand. True! I am so happy with the results l have so far and the two coats of clear wax on top of the paint were very easy to apply with this brush. After the second coat l buffed it up with an old clean t-shirt and it just looks amazing! ...... Yes you do need one.... 

I wasn't sure if I really needed a wax brush but a friend persuaded me and now I'm convinced it's an excellent investment.Amazing

perfect to use a as a wax brush as is a similar shape and cheaper) - wash after each use. 

Any paint brush can be used to apply chalk paint, but an Annie Sloan brush is a dream to use- see youtube videos, does give a professional finish, loads on more paint and makes stroke texture easy. 

Made of pure bristle, this is a great brush for painting, particularly to achieve texture. It is oval, with a metal ferule and wooden handle. 

These type of brushes have always been my favourite as they allow you to be expressive as the bristle is strong and firm but pliable. They can also be used for applying wax. 

A special treat but worth every penny! 

If you study the photos you can see the oval shape with graduated bristles to make painting into crevices and moulding much easier than a standard brush.

After painting your piece of furniture seal with the clear wax, distress the woodwork if required and if antique finish is desired then use the dark wax sparingly to give an aged patina.
